Bedroom Key Codes
Private key codes for assigned bedrooms are provided to Fellows upon arrival. Please do not share key codes. Key codes will expire at the end of the last day of your residency.
Smoking
The Fellows Residence is a smoke-free environment. If you wish to smoke, you must be at least 50 feet from any building.
Fire Precautions
VCCA had a devastating experience with fire in 1979 and is very attentive to fire precautions. We ask that Fellows also keep fire safety top of mind by not leaving the fireplace, fire pit, stoves, or other heat devices unattended. Hot plates, irons, coffee makers, incense, and any type of open flame are not allowed in bedrooms. In the event of a fire, there are emergency exit procedures posted in each bedroom and studio.
Guest Policies Visitors may be allowed in VCCA buildings at the discretion of VCCA staff on a case-by-case basis. VCCA may welcome guests for meals (please see more information on page 14) but does not allow overnight guests. A list of nearby accommodations is available on page 27.
Phone Use
VCCA is a quiet and contemplative environment. To avoid disturbing others, please use mobile phones only in your bedroom or outside away from buildings.
<aside> 💡 Notion Tip: Here's where you might outline the types of expenses that your company will reimburse. Maybe travel is the most common type of expense. Maybe people are taking clients out to dinner or sending gifts or throwing events. You want to explain what's standard for your company and the methods / software used to keep track of expenses and reimbursements.
