Kevin became Executive Director of VCCA in February 2020, after being appointed as Interim Executive Director in August 2019 and Board Treasurer in November 2018. He brings more than 30 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience to the role. He holds an A.B. from Harvard and an M.A. from the University of Virginia.
Paige has been serving as Resident Fellow at Mt. San Angelo since summer 2021. She holds an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, taught photography from 1996 to 2016, and has worked in fine art, editorial, and documentary photography. In 2015, she served as Professor of Photography for Semester at Sea. In 2019, Paige completed a RYS 200 in Ashtanga Yoga. Her photographs feature heavily in VCCA’s online and print communications, and she continues to create fine art and portraiture, including gelatin silver and platinum prints.
Kim joined VCCA’s Richmond office as Director of Communications in December 2019. Drawing from a decade of prior experience in marketing, writing, editing, and graphic design with a variety of arts nonprofits and creative businesses, Kim enjoys the special responsibility of spreading the word about the magic of VCCA. She is a graduate of Indiana University, where she earned a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing, a journalism certificate, and a studio art minor.
Dana joined VCCA in the summer of 1998 and now serves as the Director of Artists Services. Alongside Lillian Merritt, she manages residency scheduling at both Mt. San Angelo and le Moulin à Nef, coordinates international exchange partnerships, and acts as the staff liaison for the Fellows Council, among other responsibilities. Outside of VCCA, Dana enjoys reading or listening to books, practicing yoga, and climbing at a local indoor gym. For 13 years, Dana was a member of a bellydance troupe that specialized in FatChanceBellyDance© style improvisational bellydance. She and her family reside in Amherst County, where she grew up and raised her two children.
Lillian joined VCCA in January 2023 as Admissions Assistant. Her responsibilities include data entry and management for the residency programs in Virginia and Southwest France, overseeing international exchange programs, tracking residency payments, and maintaining VCCA’s relational database of Fellows. She also manages the VCCA SlideRoom account, an online application platform, among other tasks. With a lifelong passion for the arts, Lillian has been dancing for most of her life and has worked as a professional photographer since 2016, with national and international exhibitions. Her artistic background makes her role at VCCA both rewarding and fulfilling.
Katy joined forces with VCCA on July 1, 2021, as Director of Dining Services — leading the Meriwether Godsey team in preparing three daily meals for Fellows. Her role encompasses meal planning, baking, dishwashing, and garden design. Katy’s career began at 15, inspired by mentor Kerry Giles at The Patch in Amherst County. She later worked at Farm Basket, which was acquired by Meriwether Godsey. After a stint at Sweet Briar College, Katy came across the highway to take charge of VCCA’s kitchen at Mt. San Angelo. She holds an Associate Degree in Communication of Design from Central Virginia Community College.
Blythe joined VCCA as Office Manager in early summer 2024. She manages the front desk, greets guests and incoming Fellows, coordinates communications, oversees the library, maintains an organized office, and assists with VCCA events. With a background in customer service, marketing, database management, and mental health support, Blythe brings a diverse skillset to her role. She has a long-standing interest in art and enjoys photography, collage, drawing, and painting.
Mayalin serves as the Director of Annual Giving and Board Liaison at VCCA, where she designs, plans, and executes the Annual Gala — the organization’s largest fundraising event. She coordinates meetings and events for the Board of Directors and VCCA committees and manages governing documents. Mayalin holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Musical Theatre from Sweet Briar College, as well as an M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Lynchburg. Her previous roles include VCCA Office Manager and Birthday Coordinator at Amazement Square.
